Katherine draws on her years of growing up in New Orleans to depict the rich culture the city has to offer. After graduating from St. Martins Episcopal High, she went to LS U in Baton Rouge where she completed her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Painting. Katherine has lived in Baton Rouge for many years, but still considers New Orleans home. She has studied water colors at the Baton Rouge Fine Arts Academy, and painting at the New Orleans Academy of Fine Arts under Dell Weller and Auseklis Ozols as well as at Studio dei Leoni under nationally recognized artist Libby Johnson. Her work is included in the permanent collection of the LSU Rural Life Museum, the Audubon Institute in New Orleans, the McIlhenny Collection at Hill Memorial Library on the LSU Campus, and many private collections throughout the South. She has displayed her work at the Old State Capitol, the Southwest Regional Audubon Society Show, and the Acadamie Gallery. Her work has appeared in Louisiana Life Magazine, The Delta, and she has illustrated books, and designed book covers.
Katherine was included in the Marquis Who’s Who in American Women in America in 2004 in recognition of her work over the years
